• Dial *#06# in your phone and check your 15 digit IMEI number.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 0 0 that means your phone is manufactured in original factory and its a best quality phone.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 1 0 or 0 1 that means your phone is manufactured in Finland and its a good quality phone but not as good as above one.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 1 3 that means your phone is manufactured in Azerbaijan and its too bad for health and quality is not good.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 0 2 or 2 0 that means your phone is manufactured in UAE which is very poor quality phone. Most of the Indian phones have this number.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 0 3 or 3 0 or 0 4 or 4 0 that means your phone is assembled in China and its quality is good but not as good as top 2 ones.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 0 5 or 5 0 that means your phone is manufactured in Finland or USA or Brazil and its quality is not good not bad.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 0 6 or 6 0 that means your phone is manufactured in HongKong or China or Mexico and quality is not upto the mark but we can say its a good.

• If 7th and 8th digits are 0 8 or 8 0 that means your phone is manufactured in Germany and quality is 50-50.

[[ How To ]] Import All Contacts From Nokia Phone To Android Phone

But here in this tutorial I am going to guide you step by step way of doing this task in a simple way. Don't worry it is as easy like A,B,C.

Learn How to import all your contacts from Symbian Nokia phone to New Android Smartphone :

1) Firstly, you need Nokia PC Suite for performing this step. If you don't have then download it from below link.

To Export contacts using Nokia PC suite, open the software and connect to your Nokia phone through Bluetooth or Data cable. Once connected, follow below steps carefully.

• Open the Contacts tab.
• Click on All in the left panel or click on CTRL+A for selecting all contacts.
• Now select File menu and finally click on Export Contacts.
• Now your all contacts will be saved in desired folder as a .vcf format.

When you use the export option to import all your contacts from Nokia phone, each contact will be saved as separate .vcf file. However, when you try to import them into Google, you will have to do it one file at a time. If you have a lot of contacts, importing vCards one at a time will be a time consuming job. Google does not provide a bulk import option yet to import all your contacts at a time.

Now our task is to combine separate .vcf file into one single .vcf file.

Combine multiple .vcf file into one single file :

• Open Command Prompt.
• Navigate to the folder where your all .vcf files are stored.
• Finally Run the following command : COPY *.VCF combined.VCF

Note : If you have .csv files, you can follow the same steps . Just use the command : copy *.csv combined.csv .

Now finally your task is to sync your all contacts to Google contacts .

How to Import all contacts to Google contacts :

• Once you successfully followed all above steps, now you have single .vcf file containg lot of contacts.
• Now Click Here and scroll down to the bottom on the leftbar and click on Import contacts.
• When prompted to select .csv of .vcf file, choose the combine .VCF file which you created in the above step.

Finally it will start the process of importing, after successfully import just sync your google contacts to your Android phone.

Bravo !! You Dit It !! Now you have successfully imported your all Nokia phone contacts into android phone.

Uninor Closed His Operations In Kolkata

Uninor, the GSM mobile service brand of Telenor which currently operates in 9 circles, and won back 6 of these 9 circles in the recent spectrum auction has has now openly asked its customers in Kolkata and West Bengal to Port Out from its Network to any other service provider using Mobile Number Portability (MNP) in respective circles. 

Uninor currently operates in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh � East and West, Kolkata, West Bengal, Andra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharastra and Mumbai. In the recent auction of 1800MHz airwave Uninor won back just 6 circles and failed to get spectrum and license for Kolkata, Mumbai and West Bengal.

According to Telecor�s officail statement � The Hon�ble Supreme Court of India had quashed Uninor�s licenses through its order on February 2, 2012. Uninor will have to stop its operations in the 2 circles of Kolkata and West Bengal on January 19, 2013.� 

As of now GSM Operations in the Mumbai circle are continuing as Telenor Group evaluates the possibility of participating in the second auction for spectrum in Mumbai indicated by the Indian authorities till the 18th January, 2013. 

The company issued a public notice to all its customers in Kolkata and West Bengal requesting them to exhaust their balance by January 18, 2013 and utilise mobile number portability to port out to any other operator of choice. 

Uninor operations in twelve other circles where minimal obligatory rollout had been conducted to meet the license conditions will also cease on January 19, 2013 resulting from the same Supreme Court order.

Porting out (MNP Process) simplified for Uninor customers in Kolkata and West Bengal :

In the 2 circles of Kolkata and West Bengal, Uninor has a total subscriber base of 5.6 million. The company has now further strengthened its MNP code generation processes for customers in these circles.Uninor has also dropped the 90-day lock in to allow customers to port-out even if they have taken up a Uninor subscription less than 90 days ago. 

Text SMS�es will be sent to all customers in Kolkata and West Bengal, encouraging them to exhaust their balance and port out to an operator of choice. MNP will also be recommended to customers in the 2 circles through 

IVRs on all customer service help lines as well. 

The company has suspended the supply of any new SIM cards and recharges in Kolkata and West Bengal circles with immediate effect, as per the license guidelines.

Use any Sim in any Modem without unlocking it.

We all know that, we cannot use any sim in any modem without unlocking the modem. But its now possible by using Nokia PC suite.

Follow the Steps :

1) Insert the sim inside the modem and connect it to the PC.

2) It will display the message as invalid sim, ignore that message and Open the Nokia PC suite.




3) Click on Connect to Internet option in PC suite. 

4) Goto Configure. Select your data card modem,and make all operator apn setting as like when we use nokia mobile connection. 

5) Finish the set up and connect to internet through PC suite.

2.then too,if you are getting the call from the same person,his name will be displayed..

Edit a number 9895******* under name XXX(which is a VALID airtel number in kerala) to say,9495******* under the same person XXX(where i have ONLY changed the second digit from 8 to 4�number starting with 9495 is a VALID kerala bsnl subscriber).

Suppose u get a call from either of these numbers,the name displayed in both cases is XXX itself�NOW,GOT IDEA???

In simple words,if you have number like 9895123456 under a person�s name,then same person�s name will be displayed in your phone when u get a call from any of the phone numbers like (0095123456,9795123456(valid user),9495123456(valid user),9995123456(valid user),0995123456�.obtained by changing first two digits )

So,You will be mistaken when some other is calling in some another number in a form described above,because of the mistake of Nokia�.same thing happens for motorola(not all sets),samsung etc..
